Chain link finishes and wire gauges The Chain Link system can be either galvanized or PVC coated. Black or green coating are standard colours, Chain link fencing mesh flexibly follows ground contours and so can easily be installed on sloping ground. Domestic chain link fence comes in 3 standard heights 90cm, 120cm and 180cm. Chainlink fences use varying wire gauges, thicker the more expensive the chainlink fencing and longer lasting.
